WFH from France if buy a BnB business?

Thinking of:
Buying a place in France with a self contained room(s) that can be used as a holiday Let/bnb. eg large house with small bnb annex room.
Continue working hybrid remote for my UK job (once a month travel to the UK).
Perhaps pick up a bit of work in France.
Rent our UK house.
Would we be curtailed by the maximum number of days in France if we had a house that was a French business?
I’ve down loaded a few property guides and will tap up an Expat forum.
Where else should I start? Is this a non starter?

If one of you has an EU passport, life is relatively simple.
If not, you either can spend 90/180 days within the Schengen region without working, or you will need a visa to either work, or exceed time over and above 90 days.
There is nothing stopping you owning and renting out a property in France providing the relevant taxes are paid, but time in country can be limited.
You will struggle with the visa system.
90/180 without a visa but other visas have to be applied for we get a visitor long stay for 180 days but we have to declare that we will not work.
Working visas are available but you need to understand the types and conditions

Good luck with that as nothing appears simple. Applying for a visitor visa takes around 4 hours getting paperwork together then a day out at your local visa centre, London, Manchester or Glasgow with a waiting list of 6/8 weeks to get an appointment.

Taking back control, pretty much took this option away. You can get a long er term visitors visa, just needs health insurance and financial means. But if the authorities find you are working in France then life will get very difficult.
Most financial matters in France are ;joined up', so if your bank account keeps getting 'topped up', the tax people can find out. So you will have to pay French tax - from a foreign company this is a minefield.
Go somewhere where digital nomads are welcome and it can work - try it in France, it will result in pain. It will take a year of two, but it will happen! Create a French company and it could work (mine does!), but it comes with a lot of overheads and the potential of working for French companies is very limited. In my industry professional liability insurance is virtually impossible for instance!
For me it was 'worth it', but financially it is by no means the 'best' solution.
