MX5D CarPlay - how do ypou fast forward music tracks?

I can skip between tracks easily but on no menu page can I find a way to fast forward a track to say skip the first 30 seconds of boring intro and get to the chorus. It's the same if using CarPlay, or a direct Bluetooth link from the native music system or third party apps like Amazon Music. Am I missing something obvious?

How about listening to music where also the first 30s are good.

Not that helpful.

I can't imagine fast forward isn't built into the OS but I am baffled if I can find it??
