The Pikes Peak race is tomorrow. If you are not here, there is a link with coverage, starting 2pm. It is dry and hot here after thunderstorms earlier in the week. Looking forward to a good race.

I know it is only early, but I swear there are more cameras used for coverage of Shelsley Walsh and that only takes 30 seconds for a run, not 10 minutes like PP.

It's dire isn't it,at 1 point a spectator stood up and totally obscured the picture.
I switched off after 20 minutes

All I'm seeing is 2 gimps on stools talking crap, with an occasional amateur level shot of a car. Appalling coverage.

Yeah, not exactly the best of coverage. Perhaps a victim of its own success, they’ve got to the point where people are interested, but not to the point where a media company wants to buy the rights to it. Only 10k people watching the stream now.

It's lost its special feel now it's fully paved.

Worst coverage of motorsport i have seen in years.

Agreed

The joy of watch Michele Mouton handing all those 'good ol' boys' their arses was a pleasure to behold.

They did try a paid stream a few years back, no idea how popular that was.

The Nurburgring endurance events use a helicopter to cover that similar length 'lap' (c. 10 minutes)

The year Loeb broke the record in the Peugeot (2013), had coverage from Red Bull TV.......but since then it's been hit & miss, and can be quite amateur....

It is a great event, but after about 5 of 6 cars just a bunch of rank amateurs wobbling up a hill, still a huge challenge but not even close to the challenge it once was, it now feels like Everest with handrails and free oxygen.

Thankfully being able to remember the unsers, Dallenbachs, Ari, Michele,Rohrl, Millen, Gronholm, Eklund and a few otehrs makes it worth finding those memories

Once followed Moulton when she was in a quattro on the public road (cant remember where now).

Legal speed on the straight

Same speed through the really really tight bends smile

She still gets less than enough credit for what she achieved, mainly because she was in a great car and did not often beat her team mates in a straight fight, but that should not really denigrate from how hard she pushed herself and the team. And how really condescending the media often were about it, I know it was different times., but some of the questions other drivers and she were asked make you cringe these days!

Those were the attitudes of the times.

She was done for speeding, the penalty was to do a standing start, she smashed them anyway.

I bet she ruffled some old stuffed shirts there, gorgeous woman with attitude kicked their establishment in the nads. biglaugh
