Evening all!

Looking for suggestions for overnight parking in Glasgow.

Drop Monday night, pick up Tuesday.
Looked at Shields road park and ride but it does say no overnight parking.

I'm in a hotel withing the LEZ and with two non compliant vehicles in the household I'm not stumping up for GCCs cash grab.

Any better suggestions? I'm coming from the North but would ideally be looking for something close to the tube or a train station as hotel is an easy walk from Buchanan St tube or Queen St station.

There's a few streets up in Port Dundas next to the canal last time I worked in Glasgow. Busy during the day but loads of space at night. Less than 10 mins walk from the Cale uni.

If coming from the North I'd get off the M80 and head 5 mins for either Stepps or Robroyston train stations - both have free car parks with CCTV and 10 mins on the train into Queen St.

Stepps is local to me and I often leave my car there overnight if I've had a night out in town - there's residential houses overlooking the carpark as well as CCTV so it feels as safe as you'll get.

Also means you leave the motorway before you hit City traffic or the Kingston Bridge.

On street next to station in Bishopbriggs could be another option plenty folk park further in outside Arnold clarks and shortish bus ride in to town

Thanks for your help everyone. Stepps appears to be the likely option.

Famous last words, but Stepps Park N Ride is generally fine. Ive left my car overnight there a few times with Zero issues.

I parked at Q park within the zone on 8th June, never saw a warning or camera although we knew about the zone.
Not had a penalty notice. TBH for the sake of £30 to park yards from my hotel (with 40% off the overnight rate) I'd be happy to pay it if I am charged.

This, to avoid the pissing wet rain, the car getting rattled or feral locals.....just pay it.

it will only be £30 (& only if paid within 14 days) the first time within 90 days, it then doubles each additional infraction within 90 days up to a limit of £480 for a car.
If you have not driven into the zone with a non-compliant vehicle within 90 days of receiving the previous PCN, the penalty charge is reset to the lowest.

I'd be more concerned about feral locals in a city centre carpark than one in a decent suburb.

City carpark stairwells are the favoured hangout of the junkie the world over!

Stepps worked a treat, thanks all.

Car park was little over half full when I arrived at about 1330, lots of cameras and plenty of lighting.
