Stolen RAV4 Hybrid in Hadleigh 21 June
Discussion
Just posting this on behalf of a musician friend of mine who had his RAV4 stolen last night. I don't know the full story, but it has a tracker and just on the off chance it has been parked up somewhere. It had a PA system in the boot that he'd just collected too.
For now if any one has any info please post back in here, or PM me. Just wanted to get a post up ASAP as I've only just heard about it.

Sadly, I suspect this will be a victim of the canbus injection/invader method . Usually a number of the thieves will have removed/blocked the tracker, from what I have read a number of the thefts if it does get recovered find the interior not in a good state.
I hope it can be found, but it might be worth (if the owner has it) checking the My T app for any fault codes if they still have keys.

Thanks Ninja59 I think my friend has pretty much given up hope of seeing it again. I posted more on the very off chance it had been left somewhere for the first few days to check if it was tracked (though doesn't seem likely given your comment). I've since read about the canbus theft method, but probably better not to rub salt in his wounds by mentioning it (unless he hints about getting a similar replacement!).I hope it can be found, but it might be worth (if the owner has it) checking the My T app for any fault codes.
I'll ask him about the My T app though.

I think it might be better emotionally to assume they won't see it again. The few that did get found were more luck than anything, but the dash damage seemed fairly extensive from what I have heard (mainly to find the tracker). I'll ask him about the My T app though.
I have a horrible feeling they might (although that is based on gut rather than anything), a few seem to do it around it here.
The My T will give some blunt truth to how it was taken (not that it helps, but it might cement how quickly this issue is spreading).
I forwarded your last post to my friend via WhatsApp. He doesn't expect (or particularly want) it to turn up now, though he did have some contents in the boot he would have liked to get back he's now resigned to it and looking for a replacement, but another make/model having done some research. Thanks for your help.
