Yellow EML what is it

So the yellow engine light has come on, on the 17 year old Skoda. No loss of power, running well, 199,000 miles. It would seem that this light is Emissions control Light, not the death angel which I presumed.
So, what is going on?

Impossible to say for sure. Get an OBDII reader and it will tell you.

The Carista Bluetooth OBD dongle is good value, might work on yours.

I had an emissions light on my golf recently, it was the emissions canister that was full.

Ah well, another sensor mystery, the light has gone out now, it must like my driving more than the wife's.
