Leaking back window

I'm a recent and very happy owner of an mx5 nb.
Great car and so much fun to drive.
I've managed to sort out a few of the niggles that were bothering me.
But one issue i havent been able to fix is the leaky rear glass screen. I have a leak on both the bottom corners. I'm guessing due to the weight of the glass, over time its putting weight and wearing out the hood.
I have tried using liquid silicone in the corners, even put it on multiple times in the vain hope of layering it.
However the leak is still there.
Has anyone else been able to fix this issue?
Im hoping there is some sort of fix for this issue, without resorting to replacing the whole hood.
