E92 330i ticking when steering

Hi my n52 330 has suddenly started making what I can only describe as a ‘squeaky ticking’ noise when turning the wheel both left and right. It’s not particularly loud or bothersome but clearly something is up. It would appear to come from the left hand side but could be wrong. Checked power steering fluid level. Any other ideas?
