Bought an approved used 911 992 C2S couple of months ago it’s done 20k miles and was first registered in Nov 2019.
Love the car but it has developed two slight niggles.

Firstly: When the engine is warm and under load it has a fairly constant squeak coming from the engine. Sounds like a belt of some sort. Doesn’t seem to do it at idle and not 100% of the time when driving but it’s definitely there and is a bit annoying when driving around town. Is this normal? If not I have an AUC warranty until 2025 so guessing could get it look at and hopefully resolved under warranty?

Secondly: The driver’s door card has a bit of a rattle, it goes away when you put pressure on it at the top near the glass but it’s a bit annoying especially when the Bose stereo is playing a song with a bit of bass. Any ideas if I could get this looked at under warranty too?

Thanks in advance.

Porsche warranty doesn’t cover trim rattles so I’d contact your OPC and tell them about the door one ASAP and ask them to look at the squeaking engine one at the same time.

I’m sure they’ll get it sorted for you.

Question re the engine squeak. Have you got the ac on? If so, turn it off and see if the noise goes away.

Sadly Porsches are known for rattles and some say it part of the character of the car....er no. I don't spend a shed load of cash on a car for it to squeak like a prostitutes mattress.

Take it back to the OPC for them to sort.

Just be glad you didn't buy a targa - squeak squeak!
I had something similar with 991.2 which OPC fixed - only for it to return just before I sold it.

The engine noise does indeed seem to disappear when the AC is off so guessing it must be the belt for the compressor? Either way I’ll get it booked in with the local OPC to be looked at under warranty. Unfortunately I’m 250 miles from the one I bought it from so hopefully my nearest one won’t mess me about. Will chance my arm with the door card rattle too.

See if you can find out if the door handles were replaced, if so they have had the door cards off at some point and not fitted them back properly, both of mine rattled, I watched a YT video, removed them myself and refitted properly, now no more rattles.
