rodes Spanish guitar
Discussion
On the basis that PH never lets me down, are there any Spanish guitar experts here?
I need to re-home my late father's Spanish guitar, I believe it's a really nice instrument and he was fastidious at looking after it. It appears to be dated 1974 and I think was quite expensive when new.
A Google hasn't given me much information so would appreciate any advice about where to sell it and what it might be worth.
I'll post some pics on a moment if I can get it to work from my phone

Thanks ever so much for such a thorough reply. I had hoped it was something a bit special, not for the value, just because I knew how much he prized it (and how much I feared going near it when growing up!). I dabble a little with electric bass and guitar but really would much rather buy a basic acoustic guitar if I did want another instrument, this one is just a bit too precious in my mind.
Thank you for the suggestions, I'll look into them and report back how I get on (it may be a while as there's still so much else to sort out).

OP I found the same page as poster boo-urns, and like us all I couldn’t find anything else.

These people are classical guitar builders based in Barcelona, you could try posting them something on their FB page, they might be able to give some info as same city? No harm in trying
Nice looking instrument and seems your dad kept it well.
Keep us posted.

If you could do with the cash then sell it of course, however if not, given you play guitar a bit already I wonder if you might wish you hadn’t in future? A “bit too precious” sounds sentimental to me, and I mean that in a good way! Try playing it a few times if you haven’t already and see if the value to you changes then? If you don’t get on with it then nothing lost!Thank you for the suggestions, I'll look into them and report back how I get on (it may be a while as there's still so much else to sort out).
