Picked this up on iPlayer and thought I would give it a go as it stars Nicola Walker and Jamie Sives both of whom I like.

Nicola Walker plays a Norwegian cop based in the West of Scotland. It's easy viewing and each episode is self contained therefore easy to follow.

I'm just 2 episodes in and enjoying it.

We watched this a few weeks ago on Drama TV channel, seems strange it aired there first, then moved to primetime BBC. But agree, it was a decent watch.

Although it's based off a BBC Radio 4 drama, the production company behind it produced it independently of the BBC which is why it was first broadcast via UKTV, on their subscription channel Alibi in 2021, before making it available for free via streaming service UKTV Play & PBS (US) in '22. As part of the delayed rights agreements BBC have with UKTV for some shows they get the free to air rights a year later (similar to Magpie Murders a couple of months back which was exclusive to Britbox before being made available to the BBC - ITV have similar arrangements with stuff that was originally exclusive to Britbox before it becomes available free to air).

It's not a complicated watch that's for sure. Yawn.

Talking to the camera I found very odd.

Watched it when first broadcast, it took me a while but I enjoyed it overall. I generally quite like Nicola Walker which is why I gave it a chance, it's quite a contrast to Unforgotten and River.

Bonus Saab action too.

I gave up after the 2nd episode thought it was just too slow and trying too hard to be cool.

I'm about 3 or 4 episodes in and quite enjoying this so far. I've always though Nicola Walker was a really good actress and like her little asides to the camera, also the banter and witticisms between her and her colleagues.

Particularly the ribbing she gets about the Saab!

Watched it on Alibi when it first came out, wasn't massively interesting.

Me too.
I thought it worked better as drama when it was on Radio 4.

I watched it on Alibi when it was first shown. Reprise of comments on earlier thread.

Will give it a go, maybe one more episode, however at the risk of accusations of rivet counting, a DI in a new Scottish specialist unit, in a swanky fancy pants new unit HQ building, right on the waterfront dedicated exclusively to solving cases involving Marine Homicides and errr not much else. OK maybe that's where our £2,200 extra per head of funding due to Barnett formula goes. Plus a DI who appears to commute to work, and take her daughter to school btw, in what looks very much like a Strathclyde police marine unit workboat.

Additional info, the swanky fancy pants HQ is the Greenock Theatre, real police station is behind it.

There was also a request for a cameo appearance of Smith and Sniff Saab detectives.

Keeping it PH relevant, you'll see some excellent roads.

As far as I'm aware it's not been released yet.
