Right on cue… be interesting to see what they do to try and rescue the abomination; will take more than a ducktail spoiler…

There is no rescue or way of saving this car. My BMW journey sadly ends with the cars I currently own.

The looks are certainly challenging. That said I’ve decided to buy the original M2 on paper a couple of times and then driven one and decided not to proceed. The main issue with the original one is it feels more like a 235i than an m model. Engine isn’t special and even the seats are bog standard M-Sport items. The comp fixed the seats and the engine to a certain extent, but while the power delivery got better the engine & exhaust noises got worse,

For me, the experience of an M car isn’t different enough from the next model down. This wasn’t an issue with the E36/46/9x cars because the engines were fundamentally different.
