It’s probably not likely I’ll get one any way, but need to know whether to stop dreaming on Autotrader… but what are the rear seats like?

4 yr old and 6 yr old. Front seats set for a 6ft and 5ft 6 wife.

Something viable for summer trips out for the day in a convertible?

996, 997, 991, all similar sizes, or later cars bigger/better?

A case of try it and see?

At what point will it not work with kids? I expect they’ll out/grow it fairly quickly but hopefully by the time they do it could be a 3rd car.

My two were 6 and 3 when I got my 996.2. My lad was starting to much prefer the front seat when it went 5 years later…

There is a bit more room in a 991.

Watch the cabs, the rear seat backrests are very vertical and there is a little less space than in a coupe.

I say go for it if you can, will put a smile in everyone’s face.

Had a 997 from when my daughter was 5-10.. no problem

Then it started to get a bit tight so changed to a 991 and there is a lot more room (comparatively of course.. it’s only an extra few inches but makes all the difference)

She is 13 now and still fits - still give her and her 2 mates a lift to school sometimes and they love it

6’4” 17 stone (but not fat if you know what I mean).

Couldn’t fit in a 997, 996 steering wheel in my lap. My 991 is perfect.
3.5 year old in Porsche seat behind passenger seat and loves it.

This is positive be enough for me to go spend some time taking a look then!

I’m hankering most after a 996T.

Here they were 11 and 8 - can't remember exactly when they grew too much to travel in the back - probably the constant complaints about neck pain and walking with a permanent shuffle got to me in the end...

They loved it - and you'll have more room in the 996.

996T as my daily, 7 and 10 year old kids in the back. My son is getting tall enough to start saying he’s a bit smalll for it when my wife is also in car and he has to go in back, but he’s got another year left in there I reckon before it’s too small

Had kids in the back of this and my previous 996 for 7 years now
