991.1 Carrera rear wiper

It started intermittently, but now I can't stop the rear wiper. As soon as the ignition is on, the wiper starts. I've now pulled the fuse as I couldn't see anything else. Has anyone seen this before and have a quick fix?

Start with the easy stuff.

Clean the contacts/switch on the wiper stalk with some electrical contact cleaner. You can get it at Halfords/SF/TS etc, might save some disassembly if you get a can with the fine straw nozel.

Surprising how much crud can accumulate and cause issues. A friend's Mercedes stopped working last week due to fluff'n'stuff in the flappy paddle selector.
