Truly heart warming stuff - and possibly Pistonheads....

While visiting the Quayside in Kings Lynn, Norfolk this afternoon, I came across a lovely yellow Lamborghini Countach 5000, had a chat with the driver and duly gave him a Pistonheads card. I explained what Pistonheads is all about and he declared he doesn`t understand the internet but would get one of his younger family to join him!!
The chap is in his mid 80`s and the Lambos dashboard was playing host to his "disabled" badge. He has had the Lambo since 1986 and still loves it to bits - and was more than happy to give it some revs as he departed for his dinner!!
Serious respect due:thumbup:

What a fabulous old codger! I hope I end up like that.
My thoughts entirely, I felt a bit humbled actually. His disability wasn`t obvious as he didn`t get out of the car - but looking at the offset on those foot pedals, that may have had something to do with it!!
Cyberhuss, yes I did read that - a lesson there for us all perhaps! bad luck but maybe you`ll be sorted in time!

Forget the usual ones, to me this WAS ultimate 80's supercar! Lucky, lucky, lucky...
For me it still is . . .
Pretty amazing the C was produced for almost 20 years . . .
Much respect to mister Gandini and Giotto Bizzarini who made it possible for us to drool.
I can imagine being comfy in the LP5000S' cockpit. The seats are great and all you need to do to go in there is let yourself fall! You'll need a firm hand though because the car is more than a handfull to move around. And even the closing of the scissor doors takes a muscle. I guess the man had just all that. A Countach owner must be someone of strenght - in both ways.
