I am in the alps on holiday and saw a sign a couple of days ago that I have never seen before, an upside down triangle (flat at the top) with a red border and a cycle on it, don’t recall if the cycle was yellow or orange.

Can anyone tell me what it means?

The discussion in the car led to me realising that swmbo didn’t know that there was only one inverted triangle sign and only one octagonal sign (stop and give way).

Thanks, I am sure it was adjacent to a normal give way sign.

Found some information, looks as if it authorises them to pass a red light.
