Hello All,

I'm searching for a reliable supplier of chain, sprockets, and gear systems. This is not bicycle-related but rather a garden-focused product my company is currently developing (design concept first). We are expecting ongoing demand after testing and will require a consistent supply of these components.

Could anyone recommend any trustworthy wholesalers or distribution companies we could establish contact with to explore potential procurement opportunities?

Thank you

Are you wanting to buy bicycle components for non-bicycle use? Or have components made for you?

Things have improved a bit over the past few months but some components are still in short supply after the pandemic boom. Likewise prices are still silly for some components.

I would like to start with off the shelf components that are readily available. Nothing custom made to start with.

Just check out Wiggle.com or Tredz.
If you give us more details, number of gears 7,8,9,10,11,12, determines the cassette range
Gear ratios from 10 teeth to 51
What’s the main drive bikes go from around 30 to 54 teeth
There’s so much stuff available it’s difficult to point you in the right direction when we don’t know where your heading.

Why use cycle specific stuff though? Most bearing companies will supply industrial chain and sprockets, for many more applications, and without the cycling tax.

Check out Reynolds for example.

This should work out cheaper than buying bike kit and you can buy just the sprocket sizes you need
