Unfortunately I need to park in a dodgy car park, lots of hit and runs.

I think there is a dash cam function where it can sense and record collisions? How does this work?

Does anyone have one?

My nextbase does. If it senses a collision it switches on (using it's internal battery) and records for a short period.

Mine picks up any motion, and records for 30 seconds, so if you leave the car for more than 24 hours, the battery goes flat.

You need a connection to a permanent 12v supply, make sure to get a 12v adaptor that monitors your battery voltage so it doesn't go under 12v

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hardwire-Universal-Camera...

Then when the car stops moving for ~5 mins or so it will record a frame every few seconds.

Or buy a Tesla with Sentry mode wink

Yes. The Nextbase 122. You should be able to get one from Argos for about fifty quid,
