Not sure why but I have a massive want for one of these, probably not the most practical thing but would love to have one for my commute. Where is the best place to start research/dealers who have UK imports

Matt at Just Japanese has imported Kei trucks in the past. When I bought my Alphard off him, he had several Suzuki Carrys in stock (all now sold I think).

Highly recommended dealer, as he prepares his cars to a very high standard.

Torque GT would be able to source what you want. They recently sold a Subaru Sambar. It looks awesome!

Yeah, I'd love one of these, or a Bedford Rascal. I keep thinking about how cool it would be to drop a motorbike engine in and fit a bike rack in the tipper.

Looking at pictures of them here is my kryptonite https://goo-net-exchange.com/ can be useful to find out chassis codes/trim names etc.

Harlow Jap Autos are also pretty well regarded for importing Japanese exotics. But I fully understand your desire. I'd love a Suzuki alto works as a town car.

If I lived in Japan, out in the sticks in one of those free or dirt cheap Akiya houses, growing vegetables and living cheaply on my pension (no chance, they don't let foreigners do that), I'd have a brand new Daihatsu Hijet pick up, manual, in white, without smart assist and the air con delete which takes about 10% off the price. £4988 on the road. Can probs negotiate a discount too as that's full up retail.

Look up ‘Mighty Car Mods’ an Aussie youtube channel, they have done a few videos on Kei trucks. Both informative and entertaining.
