After my test drive I came away with the only query which was the seat base hardness.
Anyone found the seats bases too hard?
Yes. I did. I mentioned it a few times on here, too. I didn't like the seats at all due to the bases.Anyone found the seats bases too hard?
Some people seem to find them ok, others not happy with them at all. I wondered if it was due to differences between demo cars but the one I drove and found arse-numbing uncomfortable was driven by others who found he seat fine. So I guess it's horses for courses.
Although according to other PHers (some of whom were apparently able to assess them through their screens since they'd never sat on one) the seats are fine. Anyone saying they're not is just jumping on the bandwagon after Harry M said he didn't like them (he subsequently changed his mind).
For me, I found them to sit a little bit too high, but not a deal breaker.
What was a deal breaker was the seat backs. Too short and the head rest seemed to protrude forwards into my neck, no ability to raise it. Only solution was to recline the seat excessively. I am only 6'2, and normal proportions.
Anyone with similar height had similar experience?

Took a V6 Emira for a test drive at the weekend - love the looks, the brand, the ride, the engine and the finish but like you couldn't get comfortable at all.(6'1" and 90Kg) Lack of a decent seating position also emphasised the frankly abysmal gear change. Vague, slow, clunky and heavy on this 18 month old, 4000 mile example.
Gutted.

I'm pleased someone else has mentioned the bad gear change. Reviewers loved it but I thought it was horrendous.
On the contrary I once drove a Sportracer S with the IPS system and thought it was an excellent experience.
I too had been watching the glowing reviews and desperate to try another Emira thinking it was just that example or even trying to find a V6 auto or go i4. Mid engined traverse layouts are Lotus bread and butter so not sure how they still got it wrong. Toyota MR2 MK1&2 are shining examples of a slick gearbox, mid engined layout from waaaay back.
Evo seem to be one of the few objective reviews:
