How much more is a Competition F10 M5 worth than standard?

I'm looking to buy a relatively low milage (under 40k) F10 M5. I've found a very clean , (under 30K miles) model that's also got the competition pack. Its got the all important full BMW history, and looks all in order (I've not actually viewed the car yet)
However, the asking price is around 6-7k more than a similar milage and condition none comp F10 M5. The original competition pack was around 6.5k , but now its put the asking price up considerably
Is the comp pack really worth the extra money on a standard car? I just want a run around, not to do anything fancy .
I would imagine in 10 years, the residuals for the comp version will be better/

I owned a F10 M5 and when searching for it tried a Competition but decided that the extra premium simply wasn’t worth it in the real world.
The standard car is more than quick enough on roads and handles well enough. To really fee any appreciable difference you would have to drive in a way that just isn’t possible on roads.
The competitor also rode a little harder than the standard one, which was notable on poor road surfaces.

In Nov 2017 Evo mag said “ Controversial but also mighty, the BMW M5 F10 was the first of a new breed of M-cars. Today you can buy one from just £30k.”
Looking at today’s classifieds, you don't get much for under 23k , so in 6 years , the prices are holding up well. Its just those big bills that will hurt …

As a recent competition pack owner I would say that is too big a price difference. Maybe worth paying 2-3k more for? The good thing is you should get that back on resale.
If you're just knocking around it in you don't need the comp. As above the standard rides better (although I didn't mind the ride in mine), also the non-comp wheels are lighter. The comp exhaust does sound slightly better, and the black tips look better with some colours. The standard one has plenty power already!
