F1 - advice on booking a European race
Discussion
I hopefully want to attend a European F1 race in 2024 with my son, we have done Silverstone a few times but as he is now a teenager (will be 14 next summer), he has expressed an interest in going to a different track.
He would love to go to the Belgium one and I'm wondering if anyone has done this before and can share some hints/tips/advice etc.
When do the 2024 tickets go on sale? Is it best to book through a travel provider so that travel/accommodation and F1 tickets are all included? If so, who would people recommend?

Give Kevin May a call to discuss requirements.
Stays in Valkenburg and drives you straight in behind Eau Rouge every day. Coach and Hotel full of enthusiasts and good company.

Woman at work, her husband is a massive Verstappen/Red Bull fan and they went to Spa. From what i remember, they spent a lot of money - okay some of it was on stuff they maybe didn't need, €100 for a bucket hat for example - and from what i can remember, they stayed quite some way from the track and had to walk miles each way.He would love to go to the Belgium one and I'm wondering if anyone has done this before and can share some hints/tips/advice etc.

If you want, i can ask her to ask her fella how they booked and any advice etc as they are booking up to go to Zandvoort and that was ridiculous in how much stuff cost - cheaper to stay in Amsterdam and get a bus to the circuit each day than to stay at or close to the circuit, £1500 to hire a motorhome for 3 days anyone?
Been to Monza a couple of times. Went with Motor Racing International, who are no more. We stayed in Como each time which is a beautiful place with lots of great bars and restaurants. Was an easy coach trip to the circuit each day.
Facilities in the circuit were pretty awful, always a queue for toilets and the catering was dire.

Monza is great. Is Germany back on for next year?
It appears not . Even though I watch most of the races and I have been to Silverstone a few times, it appears I am not up to date on the circuits. Fingers crossed Spa gets renewed, if not ill be looking at Monza, Austria or Hungary.

I see you want to go to Belgium but the four I have been to all have their positives:
Hungary - Compact Circuit so easy to get around and you can see the cars more often, relatively inexpensive, not that much overtaking but anything near the first corner will guarantee action.
Belgium - Seeing just how steep Eau Rouge is, The forest, General Admission not too bad if you're willing to sit on an incline. A lot of wasps there every time I have been! Quite an expensive race I recall.
Monza - Milan is nearby and a short train journey away, The history of the place and walking on the old circuit banking. The sheer speed of the cars and the sheer enthusiasm of the fans. Generally good value. Catering has improved a little recently.
Monza would be my first choice.
Left field - I also went to the French GP at Paul Ricard. Always a boring race on TV but really good fun when there, cheap tickets, up in the hills overlooking the mediterranean and General Admission still guaranteed good viewing without getting up at 5am because the French clearly didn't have any intention of doing that. Great food. Cracking Renault Clio racing on each day. Also you're in the South of France by the sea - every morning we drove straight in from Toulon without any delay.

Its been a while since I started this thread, Belgium was confirmed for 2024 and we have recently booked it. My Lad and I are going by coach for 3 nights leaving Friday morning, returning Monday and we will be at the circuit for the Saturday and Sunday. Not sure where we will be staying yet as that will be confirmed closer to the time but it includes transfers to the circuit and back on the day.
Thanks for the previous recommendations on who to book with but a local travel agent had a package available that picks us up a few miles from home.
