Can you say Monaco?
It is an odd thing to say but the only reference I have is the F1 games... And frankly I hardly ever crash in the game here, whereas Monaco I usually crash in Quali !! And in Singapore I crash in the race, every damn time.....
Yet here even going through the Castle section s fairly easy (not sure how mind)...

From the small amount I saw of the Spa 6 hours, I agree. Much better racing.Indycar from Barber will be the highlight of tomorrow's schedule.
After my last post, Chat GPT has this to add:
On the shores of Caspian Sea,
Lies a circuit, grand as can be,
With modern twists and ancient turns,
The Baku City Circuit surely burns.
The track, a blend of past and now,
Where skyscrapers meet the old town,
A mix of cultures, east and west,
The perfect spot for sportswashing's quest.
But though the glitz and glamour shine,
The truth behind is hard to find,
For sportswashing, a tactic grim,
Is often used to cover sin.
The Baku City Circuit's speed,
And races full of daring deeds,
Can still delight the fans who see,
The beauty of this land and sea.
But as they cheer with all their might,
And watch the drivers burn the night,
A question nags deep in their mind,
Can sportswashing hide all the blind?
For though the city's surface glows,
And racing brings much-needed flows,
The darkness underneath it all,
Is a concern that still enthralls.
But as the engines scream and roar,
And drivers push to reach the shore,
The Baku City Circuit still stands,
A symbol of this country's grand.
So let us hope that through the race,
The questions raised will find a place,
And sportswashing's mask will fall,
So true beauty can shine for all.
Not terrible for something written in less than a second.

Being honest, at the moment you could advertise f1 cars being unloaded from a truck on SKY and the lemmings would tune in to watch it, if you put f1 on anything at the moment it sill sell and make money it is not hard.
I have literally no idea why, I really have no idea why people are switched on by it, but like most tracks milk it while you can.

Well you forever comment on it - what holds your interest? Are you here out of the goodness of your heart, to help other lost souls see the light and stop feeding the F1 machine with their money and stupidity?I have literally no idea why, I really have no idea why people are switched on by it, but like most tracks milk it while you can.

Quite frankly the best quality of racing I watch anywhere right now is on the BRSCC live streams, and BARC, CSCC, 750mc, MSVR etc. I think it’s a crying shame that it goes under the radar and I think it would be a massive eye opener for a lot of people who watch F1, the BRSCC MX-5 series in particular you can’t take your eyes off for a second- it’s like an F1 antidote, completely organic and free of gimmicks. Doesn’t mean I’m going to get snobby about it and cast aspersions on people who don’t watch it though- and I still watch and enjoy BTCC, TCR, Formula E, and- gasp- F1. Sometimes I find it difficult (I struggle like buggery to afford to race myself but love the sport too much to stop, it’s a curse really- so the silver spoon syndrome makes me twitch a little). But I still get excited for it, watch it, and for the most part enjoy it. It all has its place, you’re welcome to enjoy some forms of motorsport more than others, but there’s no need to judge others for enjoying what they enjoy.CanoeSniffer said:

He hates modern F1 so much that he's prepared to break the law to watch it
I too worry about the future of F1, it feels like it's cashing in on decades of history and real racing for the sake of a quick growth in viewership driven by semi-forced drama - perhaps that will erode F1 longer term, although I wouldn't assume that those with billions invested in the sport have given that possibility less thought than I have, I'm sure they think about the long term future of their investment night and day.
At the end of the day, the sport is and has always been commercialised. It's the rights holders business what they do with their business. I'll watch (legally, Luke) so long as the sport continues to hold my attention. If one day it fails to do so, I'll tune out. On that day you will not find me on here asking others to stop watching (Luke..) anymore than you would find me on mumsnet polluting a thread about cross stitch, wasting everyone's time by posting to say I have no interest in it.
As usual, you talk complete and utter garbage you silly man/boy.
I do not pay to watch any sport, I CAN watch F1 if I want to, why? Because I use a friends SKY login, but I choose not to watch because mainly of Croft but also it is utter tripe.
I take an interest in it, why? Because I used to love it and my interest goes back to the late 70's does that disqualify me from commenting on it, apparently to this wally, yes.
I admit to not paying to watch sport, does that mean I cannot comment on it, same as above. Actually to be fair if I am not paying I have more reasons to comment than you as you are stupid enough to pay for it! Sorry if that bothers you, but i do not feel it necessary to pay for any sport owned, run and sponsored by billionaires. That goes to venues that pay the most to host it thanks. Like this dump this weekend.
This is a FORUM, it is not a detention centre, I can comment and talk about anything I want to, there are no qualifications necessary, so get back into your box and polish your EV
And to add to the original thread, this race in particular was one of the ones that set me off about how bad f1 was becoming, remember when Hulk won Le Mans for Porsche and that was on a weekend away from f1, well the next year Bernie made sure f1 in Baku was on the same weekend so no f1 driver could do the same again, these are the people you want running your special sport you are so willing to pay hundreds of pounds for? Sorry but that was one of the days f1 died a bit more.
