Owners Club - BMWCC or another?

I know there's been a few discussions here over the years on BMW Owners Clubs; but none in the recent past (last I can find is 15 years ago)

Is BMWCC the main/best one? Or is there another one for consideration?

Is the BMWCC still political and run by old farts (as it seemed to have been ~15 years ago). I'm guessing/assuming things have changed for better since?

15 years ago when it was all about cars forums and clubs, nowadays its about Facebook clubs or whatever.
Suppose BMW CC is good for some discounts if you want the join the club and get the magazine every month, unless you want to join a specific BMW series?
