I have started to reduce my 'collection' of 4 vehicles hopefully down to 2.

I am looking for something interesting (modern classic) and importantly decent to drive on the road which won't smash my teeth out!

my shortlist is erring to the GT side of the spectrum (928 GT, etc) however I am really drawn to a manual R33/34 coupe (max £25k budget)

Obviously there are lots of heavily modded ones but I am interested how a relatively oem one running on decent 17" rims and plenty of rubber drive on the average British road?

The car will be garaged and won't need to go out when there is salt down of the farmer has dragged half his field down the road...

I enjoy a bit of tinkering hence not really looking for anything too modern.

cheers folks!

Should be perfectly acceptable assuming it is on ok condition factory springs and dampers, and not too low profile tyres.

I owned an almost bone stock R33 GTS-t for 3 years and loved it, I thought I was short changing myself but for sunny day fun drives it was just right. I even kept the HICAS (4-wheel steering) on as it's great fun on the roads as it works best with smooth inputs, if you ever track it though it'll be fighting you all the time. It can also hold up fairly well on motorway jaunts but after 3hrs I'd get back ache but keeping it off boost meant the mpg remained respectable.

Mine was imported through TorqueGT and the plan was to do what I did in Gran Turismo and buy a stock one before turning into some BHP spewing monster which never happened just because it was really good as it was. Parts were shared with the 200SX so I even got a pair of replacement rear shocks from Nissan for £260 ish and they arrived in 2 days during that "beast from the east" snow we had.

Brilliant that's the sort of owner feedback I am looking for. I don't really do long journeys so it will be used for local commute, car show etc.
Definitely one for the shortlist!
