Why is it that every Nova,Corsa,Cavalier,Vectra that I meet wants to race.Is it a Vauxhall inferiority complex? Sometimes I am happy to just take my time and enjoy the ride but I always seem to have to drive to second cam and go like a maniac through the bends just to teach them a lesson. Please guys if you are watching its not big and its not clever.By the way in regard to rear parking sensors - I have been offered a kit that fits around the rear number plate with the sensors just visible in the corners of the number plate shroud - anyone have this fitted?

Hi Dave,

Same here I got Married in June of this year and 3 blokes in a V6 Vectra just wouldn't move out of the way on the motorway, won't say what happened but I had to blow them into the Weed's

I find it pi$$es them off more if you just cruise and dont rise to it. You know and they know that you have the faster car so why waste your petrol proving it to a few Barry Boys?

Dave I have a Subaru park distance system on my Exige and the sensors fit on th einside of the rear clam in th eboot so you cant see anything at all.

Wilsons in Essex fitted it to the car before I bought it.

Yup. Use the car when you want to, not when they do.

Bear in mind, some people will "race" you right upto where they know is a speed camera, then back off and watch you get nicked.....

Davey S1 is spot-on with his approach, just don't rise to them, give them the stare and remain looking cool........something a nova driver or barry boy can never do. I seem to get tail-gated a lot on my drives home on the M5, mainly big BMW's, I amke them wait then slowly pull over at dead legal 70 and laughas they go screaming by thinking they are all superior, they are all just fools, guess they are all pent-up rage from having such a boring rep car and low self esteem.

Why is it that 90% of tailgaters are BMW drivers. It used to be Volvo's with the poor rep, but thats now easily been taken over by BMWs in gereral.

Bit off topic, but curious as to other peoples thoughts on this

every time i go out in my elise i get people busting a gut to overtake or pull right in front of me on the motorway. It seams to be worse in rush hour traffic / company car drivers taking risks because it's not there car. When i use the car for the run to work i like to just take it easy 60 - 70 in the inside lane as whats the hurry to get to work!

318's are the funniest! so underpowered and invariably driven by reps, they seem to take offence when a lowly french hatchback (gti-6!) sails past them.

Wilsons in Essex fitted it to the car because I cant reverse park.

Ah just as I thought!
