I mean i constantly get 300 miles to the first half and literally 200 miles to the second half of a full tank in my 335d?

Pretty much every single modern car on this earth does that as many are now "saddle" tanks, so there is a lump missing out of the middle that constitutes several litres.

Your fuel gauge is not an accurate indicator of fuel level.

My 320D does 100 miles before the needle even moves away from full.

Fuel gauges for liquid fuel work (or used to) on a float basis. Clearly the float cannot be allowed to hit the top of the tank nor hit the bottom, hence there will be fuel above the float when it registers as full, and below the float when it registers as empty.

Clearly liquid fuel tanks are not regular shapes, and there will be some calibration as an attempt to translate volume from the float height.

I am just grateful for a 520 to 600 mile range in my 335d
