Which hot hatch? £10k max
Discussion
Hi folks
Looking for some help.
I'm looking for:
Under £10k
Hatchback
5 doors
Must sound good!
Approx 250 bhp
Sub 7 second 0-60
Easy to get oversteer either lift off or foot down
What do you think?
Current list of options:
Golf GTI
Golf R32
Audi S3
Focus ST 2.5
BMW 130i (though just had one)
Subaru WRX PPP
Thoughts on options?

Your first four on the list will not oversteer easily as not RWD. Nor will the 6th I don’t think, not easily on the road anyway.
That is kind of what led me to getting a 130i but I found that wasn't very willing to oversteer! Maybe the DSC and/or lack of LSD? Gad-Westy said:
Probably the open diff, progressive delivery and wide tyres though if DSC was switched on, you had no chance. I think the FWD/AWD cars you lifted are going to need some very serious provocation to oversteer on the road and I'd question your sanity if you intend to drive like that. If you're more interested in a fairly neutral balance where the rear feels like it's doing some work, it might be worth considering some Megane options too.
I tried with DSC off and still it didnt really jiggle, I was comparing to my previous 350Z which needed very little encouragement even with DSC on. All I'm really looking for is a car that moves a little when you put your foot down (or take it off) certainly not planning to go drifting around roundabouts or anything
