Hey guys,
I'm (hopefully) ordering some new seatbelts today - I've found in previous threads the details of two companies below who people have used:

https://www.beltupsafety.com/contactus

http://www.fdts-seatbelts.co.uk/Contact.htm

I read that the generic securon belts are not quite the right size?

Also I noted from other threads about seatbelt extenders, to prevent the belt from jamming when trying to pull/retract the belt.

I've had a quick search and came across these on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303164290248?epid=70298...

Has anyone used these before?

Apologies for the massive hyperlink - it's been a while since I posted and I'm not sure how to paste a hyperlink properly!

Thanks in advance,

R

I have those extenders since many years and I'm very happy with them, the main benefit is the facility to grab the belt specially if your seat is a bit forward.

I ordered this set:

https://chimaerapartsonline.co.uk/product/seat-bel...

Being fitted this week / next week so can’t comment on it other than it looks great and the length of the latch bit is correct (ie shorter than normal)

I have both the seat belt guides & extenders. Makes it like being in a normal car.
The wife had a trapped seat belt with the hood down, now she has never had an issue.
No more fishing around for the seat belt.
This is a good time to change my belts, nice reminder.
I have the ones with a ball [ add swear words ] banghead that wont let you use the belt on an incline.
Off to do some shopping.

I have the eBay seatbelt retainers and they are well worth the money.

I bought 2 of these many moons ago (2016) - fitted by a TVR specialist :-

No issues at all.

They're not much dearer than when I bought mine. smile

I also fitted these, but removed them soon after I found that they were fraying the edge of the belt. They are nicely made, but the relatively sharp edges of the stainless steel sleeve are prone to abrade the belt.

I have a perfect set available for a cheap price.

Did you fit them the right way round.
You could be a ham fisted silver back, ask me how i know.
Hers where un marked my had started to mark.
Watched her fit hers easy peasy nice hand action.
So i follwed suit. If you want to cover the edges use the rubber trim used for green house glass.
Mine are staying on much better than fishing around trying to find the belt.
As she said mine are fine so its your fault. She got her Brownie points. driving

Good shout, I’ve been looking at these too.
Just replaced the belt cartridge on one side, took it out of the car, kept the webbing (though probably should have replaced for the extra tenner), put together for £45ish whilst I waited.
Then I put it back in fairly easily (definitely seat out though for the side bolt access).

I anticipate returning to change the webbing, and do the other side on principle.

Edit to clarify, all I did was take the whole. Ely mechanism out of the car, then fit it back in.
All the work on the belt itself was done by the pro!
