Cheap, reliable, comfy 6k daily
Discussion
Hey guys,
I’ve been racking my brains recently, trying to find a decent new (used) car. I was going to go the finance route but with pcp and interest rates the way they are now I’d rather avoid it.
Ideally it’d be automatic, relatively reliable and comfy for approx 6k to 7k.
Any ideas at what fits the bill? I’ve looked at 320ds, c220ds, insignias, accords, any other ideas at all?
I feel like I’m missing something but can’t think what!
Cheers

You'll have more joy with automatics and comfort if you jump up to E-Class/5-Series IME.
I you can put up with 3 doors the E-Class coupe is a nice place to spend time.

Or how about a facelift Jag XF?

If you can live with a coupe there are some great alternatives:I’ve been racking my brains recently, trying to find a decent new (used) car. I was going to go the finance route but with pcp and interest rates the way they are now I’d rather avoid it.

I've recently picked up a 2015 Astra diesel with 68k miles....£5k, in excellent all round condition.
Being the base model it has soft suspension and huge tyre walls so it's very comfy. It still manages to steer very well too for what it is.
It meets all your criteria.
ETA: sorry, it's not automatic, but think you can get them.
