Looks like all 30s to be 20s.
Seems a bit excessive given the 30s creep we’ve seen in the last 20 years.
I’m sure it’ll be widely ignored.
Before you know it there will be a reduction in tourism, studies showing no benefit to anything, but lots of costs, and then another £50mm spent changing it all back.
When will voters start holding their elected representatives to account?
Money wasting idiocy reigns supreme in Wales.

Give it 10yrs they’ll be down to 10mph, as we’ve got to make sure pedestrians who cant be responsible for themselves are protected and hinder everyone else. Then after that we can all get rid of cars as it’ll be quicker to walk. Get rid of foreign travel on planes, ships etc as they pollute too much. This on top of no one can have a laugh with each other, no banter. Should be a fun world we will soon live in.

I'm not sure the blanket change is going to sort the problem.Seems a bit excessive given the 30s creep we’ve seen in the last 20 years.

My village has a 30 limit, which is quite high given how twisty and narrow the streets are.
Lots of people ignore the 30 limit as it is, and it's pretty dangerous to be honest, especially given there's sections in the middle of the village with no pavements, forcing you to walk on the road.
I don't see a 20 limit sorting that issue, as those who ignore will continue to ignore.
I that it's a 'they have to be seen to be doing something' option. But that's pointless. Solve these issues properly or don't bother.

Solutions:
Traffic calming.
By-pass.
Average speed camera over village.
Etc
But a blanket limit change, cheap and they can say all sorts of nonsense to say how it’s better.
My local big village (a town but feels villagey) is the same.
20mph but many people, especially locals, drive like idiots, park on the double yellows, mount pavements at speed to pass other cars etc.
I’m amazed no one is killed. It puts me off using the high street in a relaxed way. I don’t take my young kids there.
The pedestrian crossing was even taken out by a speeding local in a LR Discovery, somehow got out of shape and rolled over the pavement/barrier area.
Another car took out part of the bridge at another time.
I was nearly run over by a car overtaking a stopped car at the pedestrian crossing.
Yes, it boils my piss too that the ‘solution’ is 20mph limits, because it’s just a number on a sign.
Utterly meaningless.

OK signed.
Now over 10,000 and will be debated and will then be totally ignored.
I thought that too and then i re-read the wording on the Welsh Gubberment website which says"The Petitions Committee considers all petitions that get more than 10,000 signatures for a debate" so not even any guarantee that it will make any difference whatsoever. Now over 10,000 and will be debated and will then be totally ignored.

But they've announced they're changing the name of the Brecon Beacons. Surely that's money well spent (not) ? Though I'm hoping it's just a delayed April Fool.Money wasting idiocy reigns supreme in Wales.
