Porsche 911 heater fan on constantly

I have a Porsche 911 carrera 4S and recently the heater fan has been on constantly even when the ignition is off. Does anyone know any if this is a common fault or an easy fix?

I’m also looking to buy a diagnostic tool for this car if anyone could recommend a good one?

Which generation 911 do you have?
On the 996 generation the ignition switch is known to play up and can leave circuits live even with the key removed.

Internal - human heater - fan or external radiator fan?
If it's the external radiator fan as I suspect, then it's almost certainly the resistor that Edgbaston shouted about above
