992 turbo or gts?

I didn't get on with the PDK on the Turbo S. The car has so much torque, that I found it frustrating that it unnecessarily kicked down when it didn't need to. it made the car too frantic. I used to drive it in wet mode to calm the gearbox down
I only use the PDK in traffic. These are made for manual mode and flappy paddles, makes it far more engaging. And wash your mouth out, there is not such thing as too much torque…To answer the OP, I had a Turbo S. Yes it felt more special than a GTS, but honestly the GTS feels a little more drivable at legal speeds. The biggest issue with a Turbo (S and Non-S) is that they are so dam fast it’s easy to hit twice the speed limit and genuinely not realise.
I think a better argument is value for money, the GTS always seems a lot of car for the money to me, (I have had a couple). My Turbo S was a magnificent thing, (and if you can buy one then you should). But it was nearly £200k so it should have been!
All that said, other than the GT3s (any), I think my money would go on a 991.1GTS with a duck tail mod. The engine is one of the all time greats.

Well I drove a c4 gts and objectively it is magnificent and I can only think a 911 turbo as being quicker A to b on uk roads ,it is ridiculous the speed and ease of the speed. However it felt a bit playstation like and was so accomplished it felt quite sterile not an experience I have found often with 911s.The engine is very noticebly turbocharged compared to my car (obviously) but also the Ferrari Portofino I had tried a few weeks before.
Anyway the question is the 2wd different enough to warrant consideration because the 4 wheel drive version was not for me ?

I have had 992 TTS , C4S, C2, now I have a 992 C2 GTS.
TTS I always felt was a bit laggy, and the 3.0ltr GTS engine was a nicer everyday engine, plus TTS was a shed load of money which never sat well with me, if your savvy with a GTS spec you can get all the interior luxury with a more spunky engine
The C2 GTS suspension with the -10mm is a bit tough to live with on a daily where i live ( Countryside) but this is solely down to the rubbish roads.
I did preferer my C4S for everyday use, the GTS interior is getting a bit old with its race-Tek
I have a Targa GTS arriving July and I've optioned Full leather interior, should make a nice change
good luck either way

yes the roads near me are awful as well, and one of the reasons I want to sell the gt3.TTS I always felt was a bit laggy, and the 3.0ltr GTS engine was a nicer everyday engine, plus TTS was a shed load of money which never sat well with me, if your savvy with a GTS spec you can get all the interior luxury with a more spunky engine
