the s passed her mot yesterday with flying colours, :bounce:, so the insurance is up in a couple of weeks time, I know its an old chesnut, but just a few names needed for cheap cover please.

Hi, I've gone to A. Manning, for an S2 without no claims it was a bit over £300. An earlier comment on this site suggested looking at Liverpool and Victoria. Also, a colleague here has a 400SE and has suggested Footman James, hope this helps, Cheers

Privilege did me okay. But I'm not as posh as you Clive. Also, its my regular car so I insured it for 10,000 miles, most of the "classic" insurances would only give a good price for more limited mileage. Still I reckon £350 was a good price.

I have been with RH Classic car Insurance for the last 4 years. They charge about £250 for 3000 miles a year on my 1990 S3. This year I needed to increase it to 5000 miles and they very apologetically charged me an extra £10! The policy includes free breakdown recovery throughout Europe. Agreed value insurance is also available. They advertise in Classic & Sportscar magazine every month.

After a lot of on the phone, my existing insurance co. came up with £348, but this increased by £5 because I will have to keep the car on my drive soon as I no longer have room to keep it locked up at work, this is with heritage classic ins, with agreed value and 3000 miles.
I tried A manning who flatly refused classic cover because it would n`t be garaged overnight, I then tried liverpool victoria, who gave me a laugh £850!!!!
so I`m staying with heritage, not bad for a 43 year old who feels like a 23 year old, female please,and as for posh, chris, I`m not the one who could afford a nice dry, warm b&b at silverstone, I was with all the other respectable common folk in a rain sodden tent

Strange - I've just been getting quotes for the S3 I got last week, which will also be on the driveway.

Classic Line - Wouldn't insure me as no history of that car at my address - said next year they probably would. If garaged it would have been ok.

A. Manning - Have insured me, but wouldn't do it as a classic policy due to no garage, so have it with unlimited mileage. Costing me more than I would have liked but I'll look around again next year.

Liverpool Victoria - Wouldn't insure due to no garage.

Tesco (Cover my main car) - wanted some silly figure - not as high as £800

You make me feel quite guilty but it had stopped raining by the time we got back there.
The duvet was nice and warm and cosy though.

In that case I'm okay. There was no bar and we even forgot to pack our own bottle of wine. Most unlike us, we normally never leave home without a few!
