Hoping someone can help me with an imminent car purchase
Guys, I’m looking for a little help with a car purchase.
I’m looking at buying a really old BMW from the estate of an old boy who unfortunately passed away.
The seller (his nephew is sorting the sales)has a few cars and has all the log books in his uncles name, except the BMW I’m looking at.
The car isn’t recognised on the DVLA register, and the log book Zia in the previous owners name (the bloke before the deceased owner).
Now I really want the car, but worried as to why the car isn’t recognisable on the dvla site.
Can I apply for the log book myself? Could the car be scrapped or exported? I’m just trying to get my head round why it isn’t recognised by the DVLA before taking the plunge.
Any ideas?
