I bought a trailer a while ago, I’ve mainly used it for bulky stuff that won’t fit in the pickup.
I used it to carry about 1000kg of lock block at the weekend and it was a bit lively, so I’m getting paranoid about how much I should be putting in there!

It’s a brendrup 2260s, twin axle and braked.
They don’t appear to sell this model anymore and emails to the company get auto replied. The guy I bought it from said it could take 2Te.

There isn’t a plate that states GVW, the only things I can find are this plate

And the stamping on the hitch, but I’m assuming that’s just for the hitch

Anyone shed any light on what the maximum capacity is?

Not surprising it was a "bit lively" as you had pushing twice the load you should on it.

Mines got twin axles and is braked, Brendrup don’t seem to do twin axles at all now.

After a load more googling I found this site with a calculator

That says I’m fine up to the max load on the hitch (2.6T) going by the 18.6kN rating on the plate.
So I’d be able to put at least 2T in it allowing 600kg for the weight of the trailer.
