JDM insurance specialist

Hi, could anyone recommend someone for a lightly modified JDM import. Car has aftermarket wheels and side skirts so I’m guessing it would be classed as modified?
Also I’m in N. Ireland so if anyone is based over here and has personal experience of companies that’s better. Thanks.

If it is old enough and it is not your main car, places like Performance Direct can find underwriters for those sort of cars.

Not specific to N.I. but i've got 3 modified JDM cars insured via A-Plan. They do have a branch local to me but I go through their Thatham branch as they tend to deal with the modified stuff.

I recently asked the same question on here, let me know how you get on. I've only tried Adrian Flux, expecting a call from A Plan tomorrow. Will try a couple others but I can't be arsed ringing all and sundry.

Also, what car you got/getting?

Adrian flux quote initially was circa a grand...told them no...suddenly it became £750...no thanks...

Called A-Plan... £450.

Funnily enough, I had the exact opposite experience. Car insurance is whacky. Currently expecting a call back from Keith Michaels.

Keith Michaels provided the best quote and I'll be going with them. It was a very straightforward, 10 minute phone call too; others places I've called have involved a lot of teeth sucking, umming, ahhing, hold music and general yapping on about fk all.
