Would be interesting to know the weight difference over the original.

Here’s a better descriptive link;

https://www.powersperformance.co.uk/store/slug/pow...

and also;

https://clutch-specialists.co.uk/products/tvr-new-...

The company who refurbished my serviceable original clutch (relined, refaced and balanced) for 1/4 of the new price.

Quite reassuring parts are being produced for obsolete items.

Clutch specialists link shows the blue one
From Doms site:
The 1st Gen clutch was Blue, 2nd Gen has lost weight and is now an amazing Red colour.

Do AP no longer make the clutch then ? Wonder what the Ferrari guys are doing for their clutches ? When the factory didn't have any units yonks ago I called AP and asked for one direct quoting their part number, they said the part number was for a TVR and Ferarri clutch and I should order through the respective agent.

I have one of the Clutch Specialists refurbished clutches in my car at the moment. After sending them an old one I bought from a TVR breakers it came back with Kevlar friction material and it is the best clutch I have ever had in my Cerbera, so light, smooth and progressive.

I went for Kevlar as it is more durable than the organic material normally used and offers smoother power take up, it just needs a bit of running in.

I now have a second one to send off and get refurbished to keep as a spare.

I had a new clutch and flywheel fitted at Powers a couple of years ago. In truth I don’t know what colour it is but it’s been excellent although I haven’t tried too hard to break it.

Just posted it off to CG for assessment after contacting them, to be honest it could be anything fitment error etc etc. So I’ll wait to hear the verdict. It’s done 2500 miles.

The good news is the Slave, Crank seal, Gearbox are all fine. biglaugh

I thought I'd used CG Motorsport to do mine as well, but no it seems I used Clutch-Fix

Fitted early 2020 and still seem to be fine, despite suffering a seized clutch slave that weakened the pressure plate due to overheating, without me realising

Think I'll get some spares relined by Clutch-Fix as well

So….CG said it was a diaphragm problem confused
please cough up £480 for it refurbing.

After plenty of deliberation (cost also) including Helix, shiny aluminium jobbies…decided for the refurb for now to get the car running again.

Phone up a week after to ask an eta….got bluntly told mine was job 114 that day and it was flagged to speed things up…another week later and it arrived.

Fitted and working with plenty of videos showing both driven plates moving when clutch depressed. At least it gave me an excuse to seal the Act manifolds properly.

I'll be sending off the outer clutch assembly to CG shortly so that the diaphragm spring can be replaced

Thankfully I still have a fully working clutch on the car

If you get a chance to by a used clutch to keep as a spare then give it some thought, however the SteveStrange/DougValley one on eBay looks a bit pricey at £400

Yes, that’s part of the long term plan. I have the original flywheel refaced and in storage also.
