I've been to their classic auctions, they have quite a cross section of cars. There's eve a grey Furgy in the next one! But Poole is a real pain to get to for me nowadays. I even stayed a night in Bournemouth once with full intention of buying one but didn't win. 
Their price 'guides' are more like bait to be honest. The reserve prices are at the top of the guide usually unlike most other auctions where it's at the low end of the guide.

try getting to an auction from the west country! I too have bought a car at Poole a while ago, like 20 + years ago i think......Watched 3 auctions online for the last month. Old cars....close to WW2 etc are going down. Anything with FORD on it big money. BUT several are saying that us old farts in our 50/60's are now buying 70's and 80's cars.....
