My dad took this picture six years ago and I posted it in the “classics left to die” doesn’t look like much has changed since. Think someone said it’s a Mini Marcos.

A bit of Le Mans history rotting away
(OK maybe not this particular car).

Ford v Ferrari v Marcos, Le Mans 1966.

It was the only British car to finish - in 15th place. Good for over 130mph on the Mulsanne so it was an effective little thing.

Someone really should save it…probably an effective way to get an entry for a race at the Revival/MM @ Goodwood ( after peeling away the undergrowth and a few hours work)…

That one is X reg and probably an 80's car. Only the Mk1's from the 60's would be eligible for Goodwood I'd have thought.

Editing to add that the club website has it down as a MKiv and untaxed since 1993.

And first registered in 1981 as a 998cc Marcus (sic).
