Need a daily for 5k or under

I am after some recommendations on what to get next.

I do about 300 miles a week so can't be too thirsty but can't be a slouch either.

Also got a baby on the way later this year so will need some practicality.

I don't mind petrol or diesel.

I have to say the Insignia in SRI Nav spec is the pick you'll get a nice modern car (as an example these have better NVH than the Octavia) with more than enough space for a growing family:

I have been thinking about Octavia's and insignias, definitely an option.

I hadn't thought of the accord tourer and quite like them. Anyone know what sort of mpg the 2.4 gets?

Not sure about the Tourer but for the saloon around 30ish usually, closer to 40 on a run. The Tourer might be a little less as it's heavier.

Guess it depends on if your a 1 car family. I had a 3 door and the wife had the 5 door for holidays, pram etc.
I’d say a phil and ted pram would fit in a C30. I had an Alfa 147 with my kids when they were in baby seats.
