Can't comment on a Sandero, but I have a new Duster which I am very pleased with.

Dacia's don't seem to have a bad reputation for a budget brand.

Dacias seem to be well regarded by owners https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&...

We have a Sandero Stepway overseas. It's fine. You'll never look forward to driving it but it drives ok and is well specified with a five year warranty.

Like others, haven’t driven a Sandero but I did spend 10 days in February in the French Alps in a Duster 4x4 diesel after someone pranged the Volvo. About 700km in all.

It was brilliant. Cliché: it had everything I needed and nothing I didn’t. It really raised my level of respect for the brand and felt suitably solid and comfortable.

Over the water in France you can pick up a new Sandero in essential trim white paint for €11,990 or £ 10,462.45 on todays exchange rate.
Thats the retail price.

UK retail price is £13,795 for same essential trim.

Over £3k is a hell of a premium

Over here in France the weather has turned,it’s now cold.

My Sandero only runs on petrol while warming up and for some reason is really struggling to start in the cold.
It was recently serviced and everything was good.

Could it be old petrol,I fill up every 9/10 months? It also has a dead throttle until warm.

Anybody else suffer this annoyance?

You fill up every 9 months?
Do you drive 1 mile a week?

LPG is much cheaper than unleaded so it only runs on petrol until it’s warm enough to run on gas.

Someone on another thread mentioned LPG was very hard on plugs, maybe worth a fresh set.

Brilliant, don’t see many LPG stations in the UK other than in rural settings
