Just for interest about 8 yrs ago in Germany there was an incident where an RAF corporal was clocked speeding by a traffic cop using a hand held radar. The officer stepped out from behind a bush and pointed the "gun" directly at the corporals car using a two handed pistol type stance. The Corporal promptly ran the officer over and seriously injured him for which he was duely charged and appeared in court. The defence in court was that as the officer was not wearing either a cap or a hi-vis vest and that at the time there was a hightened level of IRA activity in Germany the Corporal believed his life was in immediate danger from terrorists and as such acted in self defence. He was aquited and the injured officer reprimanded for his actions. Just a thought to provoke a response !
