320i - N20

Does anyone run the 320i with the 2.0 N20 engine, if so what do you think too it ? I want to change and while the 320d is a consideration - so is the 330d i'd like to go with petrol. We have the B48 in the Mini which i find good enough but with the additional weight and that we tow a wobble box i'm not sure its going to have enough mid range shove.

FWIW we had a test drive in a 320i and it was ok... It did feel lacking, but for every day driving probably ok

The 328i Luxury we test drove was much better... Better pull; better all round driving and much smoother on the motorway

In a 325D F31 touring now; that was the happy middle ground for us between the 320D and 330D

My old mans got a 2016 320i Touring and I find it pretty good to be honest after having borrowed it for a few weeks.... It won't set your trousers on fire but as a daily think it's more than adequate as a diesel alternative.

The 320i is ok, and certainly better as an automatic.

I have a main dealer mate who sees a few blown up ones - all of them remapped so it's worth avoiding that route.

I do like the F30 though, a nice drive. The 328i is remarkably brisk.

Ah .... plan would be to remap it if I went that route. 280 seems to be comfortable by all accounts.

We only get to see one, it does sound a bit rattly from the chain and did crack the cam cover but never driven one, plenty of the diesel models aand 428is though.

B48 is in our Mini and I like it, thats attached to the older 6 speed.
