Has anyone completed this form? I understand it's mandatory, including for second home owners. Is that correct?

There's an explanation here https://www.connexionfrance.com/article/Practical/...
In short yes you do have to complete the declaration.
I've started it but couldn't reconcile the m² they had listed for our properties, possibly because they use surface réelle (actual) rather than loi carre (useable surface). I'm currently looking for my tape measure....

Thank you. Just need to get a login for impots.gouv now...

Of course, I know the carrez law dimensions, but won't be able to take actual sizes until I'm back there in May. frown

They will already have the surface area shown although you might like to check them as they affect your the charges. You have until 30 June.

Mine was already prefilled, so I just had to tick a box to confirm no changes. For French form, I was amazed at how simple it was.

Jolly good. Nevertheless, I'll do mine in May, so I can confirm the dimensions. smile

My father in law has now moved into a retirement home. He will be exempt from Taxe d'habitation, but I'm not sure they thought of that.
I know he (well, we, cos he's gone a bit wrong) still have to fill it in.

Has anyone any idea what we put on this form to say "Yes, this is/was his main residence, but he's now in a home"?

Using the messaging system on the Impôts website, send a message to your local Impôts office and they will resolve it for you. We've always found them surprisingly helpful.
