Coil issues

Hi everyone, I have a lhd 2008 116i, with 58k km! Service history etc. I’ve had engine management light flashing , firing on 3! I took it to local Italian garage, who replaced a coil, off I went all was fine for 5miles then exactly same issue ! Took it back, then got it back, same issue appeared after 2 days!! So took it to BMW in Italy , they quoted 5 plugs 4 coils 4 injectors 3,500€! Good job I was sitting down! It’s hard to find a reliable garage here! Hot yo s as mother garage via breakdown cover, they replaced a coil and off I went , this lasted for 5days, before same issue, flashing management light and missing shaking no power! However this time, when I switched engine off and restarted it was ok, no flashing light! It’s happened a couple of times since, when I go a little faster, but always, touch wood has reset itself when I turn engine off! I have to get car back to U.K. any ideas on if it will damage car, due to long journey ! Or ideas on d Ed hat problem could be? Many thanks nick

If it resets like you say I would just get the rest of the coil packs done. Only 3 more!

Also worth checking that they are genuine Bosch (IIRC) coils.
