To all classic BMW owners!

I am a final year Design Engineering student and for my final dissertation project I am designing a Restomod based on the E28 5 series. However, feedback from any classic BMW owners would be appreciated.

1. Why do you own a classic BMW
2. How many miles do you do in your car per annum
3. what features do you feel give your car its character e.g., Manual, Rear wheel Drive, Shark nose etc.
4. Cost aside would you EV convert your car to improve performance?
5. What body aspects of your car would you want to see retained redesigning the body of the car in order to keep the original character? (Think BMW 3.0 CSL)

Additionally if anyone is close to Manchester or Leamington Spa and wants to show off their lovely motor in exchange for a pint please do speak up!

Please be assured any feedback will be used confidentially and no personal data will be taken, however any replies to this post will presume consent has been given to use your responses in my dissertation.
Thanks for your time.

Hi Mark, as mentioned in my post I’m focusing on the E28 5 series, but any opinion is welcome.

Sure, mines an e36 M3, some people think it's a classic, some are a bit sniffy! I'll fill your survey in when I get a sec, anyway.

I’d say the e36 is about there ! The only reason I’m focusing on slightly older is because the e36 was designed in a time where computer aided design had started to be used whereas the E28 is slightly older and had no CAD input.
