Can-Am speakers

Anyone know whats the largest size of speaker that can be fitted to the rear bulkhead sides (in the space between the rollbar and the outer edges) in the Can-Am?

Forgot to measure it before removing all th bodywork - doh!

Think you'll find it's 10cm.
I had to cut the ones I fitted (Kenwood) I'm pretty sure that they were 13cm. I'll check when I get home.

I fitted 10cm speakers, but not all 10cm speakers are equal. You need to measure the outside diameter and depth of the cover as these vary between manufacturer (e.g. I found variations of more than a centimeter in outside diameter for 10cm speakers). On my canam, 10cm JVC speakers wouldn't fit without fettling, but 10cm Pioneer ones do. I couldn't find a pair of current model 10cm Infinity speakers to try (I even rang Infinity and they couldn't tell me the diameter of the cover). Some places will sell after-market covers, but I couldn't find anyone holding any in stock.

Actually looking at it, the speakers fitted but the mounting ring doesn't. If you were going to hide the speakers under acoustic cloth, then fit 13cm without the mounting ring.
Infact I might just do that, then that way all speakers will be hidden even the radio.

Thanks Graham. The set I'm looking at are 13cm with the ring (I think - have to double check). Do you reckon that will fit?

In a word, no, I would bet that the mounting ring would be behind the roll bar, assuming you don't cut it.
Theres a pic on my site in the gallery of a speaker, you'll see that it doesn't look right.
Not much help I'm afraid.
