When you consider that odious little turd Bercow it puts into sharp focus the deterioration in our politics. Gorbels Mick was just plain out of his depth.

I'd be happy to make 93 so there's that smile

She would have been speaker when I was in my teens I think so the fact I know exactly who she is is probably a damned good indictment of the work she did and impact she had.

RIP

Great speaker of the house. Her style was direct but polite, chastising naughty school boys. I liked her (she was part of the reason I became interested in politics)...

Martin and Bercow were toxic. Quite like Hoyle, he seems more in the Boothroyd style, and they were in regular contact apparently. A better kind of governance.
