Pomeroy Trophy

Is anyone else here entered? https://www.vscc.co.uk/page/events?eventID=1818
It's this Saturday, on Silverstone GP, free spectator entry too, although you need to book tickets in advance: https://www.silverstone.co.uk/events/vscc-pomeroy-...
I'm entered in the Corvette again, looking forward to it, although my tyres have done a lot of heat cycles over the last two years (a good excuse for plenty of oversteer).

I'll be there again, enjoying such a unique event.
Best of luck with the C6 Dave, it was flying last year.
The weather is looking a bit more friendly for the Aston this year, still looks a tad on the nippy side though.
If anyone fancies a unique spectacle, pop down to Silverstone, it's very entertaining.

Yes,
I’m entered in my Aston Martin DB Mk 3 and remember you passing me last year!
I suppose you have a working heater in your car….
Good luck !
Ah, is this your beauty that I was behind in scrutineering? I’m entered in my Aston Martin DB Mk 3 and remember you passing me last year!

Yes, it has a good heater, I even had the air con regassed last week (optimistic).

If you're interested, you can read the whole story of the car here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
See you there

Yes, that’s my Aston !
I’m in Batch 2 in the afternoon and it’s certain to be entertaining !
I thoroughly recommend the Pom as the eclectic mixture of cars is quite unique.
Could you let me in on a secret, where did you get the big bore Monza type flip filler from? I have been hunting everywhere. Good luck with the Pom, I have never done it, somehow the outlook for Feb never looks very good when the detail comes out in Dec!I’m in Batch 2 in the afternoon and it’s certain to be entertaining !

How did you get on in the Aston?
I've added my video and comments to my readers cars thread.

A very impressive drive indeed , and visibly faster than anything through Brooklands except the (race spec ) CSL . My first experience of the Pom, which turned out to be as eclectic as I had hoped. Where else do you find a ....umm .... well patinated Vauxhall Zafira competing against a GT 40 , a Frazer Nash and an Armstrong Siddeley in maximum attack mode? I suspect the ghost of Bill Boddy was hovering around the paddock , and possibly still droning on about The Track (aka Brooklands , of course).
An excellent CSCC race meeting on Sunday made the long trip worthwhile .

Thank you, much appreciated. Pleased you stayed on for the CSCC meeting too, we got even luckier with the weather, with a bit of sunshine for a while (not that it made things noticeably warmer). An excellent CSCC race meeting on Sunday made the long trip worthwhile .
